Amy Gardner is a South London based artist. Primarily working in print formats, including Lino cut print, etching and silk-screen.
Her use of colour and light is representative of her heritage, originally coming from Sydney, ‘The City of Light’.
She is drawn to positive images that inspire self-care, as well as setting limits for ourselves, or the lines we need to draw, metaphorically, to maintain robust mental health.
Her current body of work is a humorous commentary on everyday life specifically looking at the concept of self care in juxtaposition with, what can sometimes feel like, the drudgery of life from the standpoint of motherhood.
