Annabel MacIver

Working across disciplines, the key factors in the early stages of Annabel Maciver's work are the experiments in texture and form - finding ways of best portraying her concepts.

"I am interested in the layers of memory that make us, from their use in the narrative, to their integral part in our looking to the future. Currently I am investigating the representation of the transfer of memory across the generations, the fading of memories, and their resurrection as fantasy or reality."

Her recent print series, based on memories of icebergs in the lagoons of Iceland, were also made as a metaphor for the world in which we now live: the innocence of the mass population and environment against the political issues of our time.
