Anne Haworth trained as a textile designer with a specific interest in relief printing. She works with monotypes, collographs, card cuts, woodcuts and linocuts printed on paper and then takes the prints and expands and experiments with them creating added texture and colour which results in a final silkscreen print.
“I love the immediacy of relief printing, the textures and patterns, the accidents that occur in the creative process that lead to new ideas.”
“My images are inspired by a story or theme that interests me. Currently, I am looking at the shapes and colours of my childhood and the objects I grew up around, working with them and giving them a new meaning and resonance.”
