Bob Cooper

Our lives are governed by repetition. Everyday we eat, we work, we play, we sleep and repeat, seasons pass and years go by. Yet with every repetition small changes occur, you arrive slightly early for a meeting and have a new idea, you miss a train and bump into an old friend. These changes create new possibilities and change the pattern.

Cooper has been visiting the Western Highlands of Scotland every winter for 14 years and every year the landscape changes, the light is always different, one year it’s too warm and another year it’s covered in snow. His latest series of linocuts document the changing landscape of the mountains over the years. From each linocut he produces a limited edition of 30 handmade prints, each print is unique and tells its own story.
