Emily Crookshank is a painter and printmaker based in London. Since graduating from The Glasgow School of Art she has continued to exhibit her work across the UK, including in this year’s Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts.

Lying within the tradition of drawing, Emily’s work explores the visual language of marks. Her etchings respond to the freedom of mark-making in sometimes disturbing compositions that aim to capture the simplicity and satisfaction of the mark itself.
