Mara Cozzolino

Waterbased Japanese woodcut, or Mokuhanga as it's called in Japan, is an old and refined printmaking technique. An incredibly clean printmaking process, no solvents or acids are involved, and each print is printed by hand without a press, using only waterbased colours. It’s also a really gentle printing methods and in order to achieve good depth, each colour need to be printed more than once. Mara will be printing a 2 blocks print, using a particular shading technique called “bokashi".
