Giorgia Oldano

Born in Turin, Italy, in 1984, she graduated in Painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin in 2008.

In 2016 Oldano moved to a new studio in the Garibaldi neighbourhood of Milan. 

A lover of nature, Giorgia feels part of it, and likes to live the adventure of close acquaintances with the uncontaminated spaces in which her beloved animals live.

She has recently started to intensely engage with engraving techniques such as calcography, linoleum, lithography and monotype.

In 2012 she won Best Italian Wildlife Artist. This national contest gave her the unique opportunity to travel to Africa, observing the amazing wild life found throughout Malawi and Zambia.

In 2013 she was awarded International Artist in the Mammalian category at BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year.
