Josephine is currently an Undergraduate in Fine Art at City and Guilds of London Art School.
Her work often evolves from collected imagery, from which she respond to in a painterly manner. The prints she will be exhibiting at WCPF 2017 were inspired by the abstract shapes formed by light in our everyday landscape.
Josephine was interested in curating her own landscape, taking elements from other imagery and working with it in a process led way to capture and revisit moments of natural beauty. To achieve this meant experimenting with different printmaking techniques including; hard ground and soft ground etching, sugar lift, mono-print, lino-cut and chine-collé. Ultimately she has created a set of prints that can work together to develop a narrative, interlinking moments of imagery, abstraction and formal qualities.
