Lorena Herrero

This series, 'Under Ever-changing Forms' represents a quite radical turn in Herrero’s work. The pieces denote a desire to immerse in abstraction, something the artist feels impelled to explore further. Mixing traditional intaglio techniques with photography and the use of Japanese paper help to add texture and a new depth to the final image.
Throughout this work there is an inherent interested in exploring the process of abstraction from a quotidian object or pattern to a new form completely isolated and detached from its origins, and how to achieve that by incorporating printmaking techniques.
