Having grown up in Leeds, Lucy graduated from Central St Martins and now lives and work in London as part of the East London Printmakers cooperative.
"I love drawing people from life, printing with natural materials such as leather and wood, and experimenting with alternative processes."
Spontaneity in her work comes from her enjoyment of experimentation, in both her drawing and printmaking. She also loves the grounding beauty of natural forms.
Her exhibiting mono-prints are printed with leather - both textured and pressure-sensitive. Working with shapes that originally came from the bark of the London Plane trees near her home, she let new images emerge through the printing process.
