Nick Richards is a London based Printmaker, artist and educator. He studied Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic and graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1986. He has since been gaining notoriety for his masterful depictions of the wind-lashed waterways and stormy skylines of this country’s historic capital.
He has always been attracted to the rivers and buildings of London, in particular the dramatic tidal level of the Thames and it’s rapidly changing landscape. He combines observations with memory and re-imagined views to create dramatic prints and paintings wrapped up with the emotion of the vernacular and factual.
Nick has a studio overlooking the River at Thames-Side Studios, where he also teaches Etching at Thames-Side Print Studio. In 2017 Nick was elected into the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.
