Olivia Pratt is an artist and scenic painter based in Bristol. She is currently studying for an MA in Multidisciplinary Printmaking at UWE.
Her current work aims to create a sense of drama in the everyday, using TetraPak cartons (orange juice, soup etc) to create high contrast one-off prints. She is inspired by Japanese and Korean literature, film noir and her background in theatre.
Prior to this Olivia worked in London as a scenic painter for interiors, theatre and film having completed a BA in Theatre Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She still continues her work as a scenic painter which feeds into her own artistic practice.
Olivia has recently completed a month-long residency in Fujiyoshida, Japan where she produced a series of new sketches and ideas for future work experimenting with fabric, ink and collage.
