Sadie Tierney studied MA Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art. Working in a tradition of English landscape painter/ printmakers Tierney explores objects and places where form is linked to emotion and metaphor. Tierney’s expressive prints and paintings spring from sketches and drawings made en plein air and are marked by their celebratory use of colour and line.
Sadie Tierney taught printmaking at Eton College, and subsequently held lecturing posts at Glasgow School of Art, Lincoln University and Swindon College.
