Sadie Tierney is an artist living in the UK. She studied MA Printmaking at the Royal College of Art and BA Fine Art at Newcastle University.
In the year after she graduated from the RCA she held her first solo exhibition at Flowers Graphics. At the same time she was Master in charge of Printmaking at Eton College, where she ran the print workshop for 5 years before moving to Glasgow School of Art as Senior Lecturer in Illustration. Subsequent solo exhibitions include Flowers East, Flowers Ireland, Rabley Gallery, Oxford Gallery, Eton College and Aspex Gallery Portsmouth. Group shows include Transition, Rivington Gallery and Clifford Chance (London), Hatton Gallery (Newcastle University), Millais Gallery (Southampton University)
The recipient of two Arts Council Grants for the Arts Awards, other prizes include the Alkazzi Travel Scholarship to New York, the Printmakers Council Award and the Peterborough Prize (finalist). Her work is held in the collections of The Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York, Gdansk Museum, Poland, Eton College, The Royal Navy, Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, The Otter Collection, Baker & MacKenzie and Clifford Chance, as well as private collections worldwide.
