Sally Cutler works in linocut using multiple blocks, hand-colouring and old lead type to create her art works.
“I focus on creating portraits of real Londoners and grouping them together to give an overview of the people from particular communities and their occupations and pursuits there.”
Cutler has been a printmaker for 27 years and has shown at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Dulwich Picture Gallery, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Discerning Eye and The Tate Gallery Liverpool. Her work is in collections at The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Milly Apthorp Collection, Barnet and National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth. Sally Cutler lives and works in South East London.
