Sally Gunnett

Sally Gunnett’s work explores the change and growth of plants and documents their status at a particular time and the natural habitats in which they grow. She is currently investigating how nature can be used to record periods of time by creating work in the environment, documenting the effects of natural elements such as rain. For example creating a print using rust which both documented the rainfall and effects of natural elements in her garden and recorded the period of time from the spring to autumn equinox.

She works with time-based processes and alternative printmaking techniques and is interested in the unpredictability of these processes, and that by working with them in the natural elements the outcome, to an extent, is led by nature.
