Shirley Stevenson

Shirley Stevenson explores lightness and darkness through her work. Her prints have gradually emerged from observed situations, memories, thoughts and words such as shift, pattern, floating, fragility, pain and joy.

Her focus on shape, space, colour and surface, helps her investigate ways of responding intuitively through looking and interpretation.

“I like playing with the mark, the edge and pattern-like qualities which I then explore through print processes to resolve my ideas.”
