A visual artist and printmaker based in London, Zoltan Marfy graduated with a BA Hons Degree at the Central School of Art and Design over 30 years ago and is currently studying for an MA at Camberwell College of Art.
“My curiosity for printmaking has been a creative conduit, enabling me to weave between digital and more traditional techniques, including etching and monotype printing. Seduced by the structures in science and nature and its textural detail, my work is driven by exploring the erosion and distortion of objects, which in turn develop into a narrative.”
The artist develops this narrative into incongruous worlds - becoming detailed and obsessive. Marfy intuitively redraws and reflects, creating images with innovative and unconventional methods of mark making, stimulating a personal visual language unique to the artist.
